Case Study
:
U.S.
Wireless recently acquired a ChaseData Corporation PowerStation
2 Enterprise Edition predictive dialing system in order to create
a truly open operation.
The
Problem: U.S. Wireless, a leading provider of automated
voice mail systems faced severe market pressure to streamline
operations and increase the speed of service delivery. The company
invested heavily in a single set of proprietary systems that
tracked all aspects of their core voice mail business. Functions
such as billing, management and all aspects of client contact
were running on a suite of SQL based application servers. Due
to the system's in ability to easily connect to various data
types and the high cost of custom software development U.S. Wireless
was stringently evaluating every new application presented to
MIS including the PowerStation Predictive Dialing System.
The
Solution: During the demo the U.S. Wireless MIS Director
immediately recognized that PowerStation was uniquely suited
to meet their tolerances. PowerStation uses Microsoft's SQL Server
Enterprise edition as the core database configuration. This meant
that virtually all OLE data on the network can be accessed and
modified easily. This coupled with PowerStation's 'secondary'
features: code level modification, access to VB & Java Scripting,
browser modeling for creation of forms & network applications
and digital recording made our Enterprise Edition the obvious
choice.
